I'm also of the opinion that it is by no means Deus Ex Machina, because it is set up during Reality Dysfunction. It all ties up very quickly at the end though, and after that many pages of the trilogy I kinda wanted a little more. It's another that I can see potential for another story/series in this universe....

A small set of short stories, perhaps?

Fan fiction? Are there any PFH fan fiction sites?

Well written The_Kat. I very much in favor of this ending. The whole posses F..k up was so monumental that only some sort of God like entity could solve it in the complete and absolute way, and as many here sad before the notion of something big was there from the beginning.

I've had a problem with the ending for a long time, too.

I think it is the repeated references to humans having to solve this problem for themselves, yet pressing a God-button that solves it in a way completely different to anything humanity has done before.

Still an absolutely cracking story (reading 'Neutronium Alchemist' atm)!
