The Queen of Dreams

Post by Gore Burnelli » Fri May 10, 2013 9:55 am

From Peter's website -

First sighting on the internet.

There's no cover picture yet, because it hasn't been painted. But I met the artist Adam Stower http://www.worldofadam.com/
last week, and trust me he's very good. His 'quick sketch' of a Karrak Lord was wondrous to see.

And on further updates, the last of the children's books has had its finally final edit. Meanwhile I'm 30,000 words into The Abyss Beyond Dreams. Incidentally I hate running word counts, it make it seem like a production line, and I'm always missing my target length as well, which gets depressing. And no I can't work out how big it's going to be from that, although technically that's the first of five sections. Oh, and remember when I said none of the old Commonwealth characters would be in it -I may have been lying. There's a cameo appearance coming up, but you'd have to be a detective to see that. Geddit? I'm off for a lie down.
Of all the things I value most in life,
I see my memories, and feel their warmth
And know that they are good,
You know that I should!

From Peter's website -

A glimpse into Queen Of Dreams.

I should emphasise these are very early character sketches for Queen Of Dreams. Adam is just getting the look and feel for the scenes he's going to be drawing. I know I'm biased, but I really like his vision of Sophie the sky maid.

War is coming - and every leader of every realm has sided with the War Emperor and pledged to fight the Karrak invaders - apart from Taggie, the teenage Queen of Dreams-to-be.

Aided by an unusual band of allies, including a Karrak Lord, an elf and a feisty skyfolk captain, Taggie knows that the only way to stop the war is to find the long-lost gateway between our universe and the dark universe: the home of the Karrak people.

But where do you begin to look for something that was deliberately hidden? And just how much is Taggie willing to lose in her desperate quest for peace?

A Voyage Through Air is the third and final book in the fantastic The Queen of Dreams children's fantasy trilogy.
Of all the things I value most in life,
I see my memories, and feel their warmth
And know that they are good,
You know that I should!
